Jason Lim-How

Clinical Psychologist

Therapy offers a space to step out of the demands of everyday life and take a closer look at what’s been happening for you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, it can be helpful to have a consistent space to think things through with someone alongside you.

I’m a registered clinical psychologist working with adults (18+) across a range of concerns. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating the impact of trauma, as well as those exploring identity, sexuality, and gender.

I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach, working with you to understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviour, and to identify what changes might be most meaningful for you. My work draws on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.

I aim to create a space where you can slow down, reflect, and make sense of your experiences in a way that often isn’t possible in day-to-day life. My focus is on helping you develop a clearer understanding of yourself and feel more equipped to navigate what you’re facing.

People seek therapy for many different reasons. I commonly support individuals experiencing:

  • Depression and low mood

  • Anxiety, panic, and excessive worry

  • Stress, overwhelm, and burnout

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress

  • Obsessive-compulsive difficulties (OCD)

  • Specific fears and phobias

  • Low self-esteem and self-worth

  • Anger and emotional regulation

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Life transitions and adjustment challenges

  • Assertiveness and boundary-setting

  • Exploring identity, sexuality, and sense of self

  • Personal growth and self-understanding
